Evernorth Holdings Makes Strong Nasdaq Debut as XRP Treasury Firm, Appoints Former Coinbase AM Executive Hugo Jeandesboz as CIO

The newly listed shares of XRP-focused treasury company Evernorth Holdings made a strong impression on Wall Street during their Monday debut on the Nasdaq stock exchange, climbing as much as 5% according to market data provided by Yahoo Finance. The successful public market launch represents a significant milestone for the firm, which positions itself as a specialized corporate vehicle for holding and managing the prominent digital asset XRP.

The debut comes on the heels of a major corporate restructuring and strategic leadership appointment. Earlier on Monday, Evernorth announced the appointment of Hugo Jeandesboz, the former co-chief investment officer of Coinbase Asset Management, as its new chief investment officer. In his new role, Jeandesboz will spearhead the company’s comprehensive treasury strategy. According to the company’s official announcement, his responsibilities will include overseeing treasury allocation, managing liquidity, and actively directing the management of Evernorth’s substantial XRP holdings.

Unlike traditional holding companies that simply store assets in cold storage, Evernorth utilizes an active approach to corporate treasury management. The company deploys its vast XRP holdings to generate additional income through decentralized finance, commonly known as DeFi, yield strategies. This operational model allows the firm to seek supplementary returns on its crypto assets rather than relying solely on the underlying price appreciation of the token itself.

The Nasdaq listing is the culmination of a process that gained decisive momentum earlier in the month. On Oct. 2, shareholders of the blank-check special purpose acquisition company, or SPAC, Armada Acquisition Corp. II, overwhelmingly approved a plan to officially combine the firm with Evernorth. Through this business combination and subsequent public listing, Evernorth anticipates holding approximately 473 million XRP tokens. Based on current valuations, this massive pile of digital assets is worth roughly $657 million, a figure that the company emphasizes makes it the largest publicly traded XRP treasury company in the world.

The broader market context for the company’s underlying asset remains robust. At the time of the market debut, the XRP token itself was changing hands at approximately $1.39 per unit, supported by a substantial $1.48 billion in trading volume over the preceding 24-hour period, according to data from Coingecko. At this prevailing market price, XRP commands a total market capitalization of roughly $87.8 billion, solidifying its position as the fifth-largest cryptocurrency in the global ecosystem by market value.

The successful public market entry of Evernorth Holdings reflects a continuing trend of traditional capital markets intersecting with digital asset treasuries, as institutional vehicles seek structured ways to offer investors direct exposure to specific blockchain tokens and their associated yield-generating potentials.
