Michael Saylor’s Strategy Announces Daily Dividends for STRC Preferred Stock as Bitcoin Holdings Climb to 848,250 BTC

Strategy, the prominent corporate Bitcoin treasury firm spearheaded by Michael Saylor, has formally declared daily dividends on its STRC preferred stock covering the entire month of November. According to regulatory disclosures, the implementation of these daily payouts remains subject to standard shareholder approval and the subsequent enactment of related corporate charter amendments.

The announcement, detailed in a Form 8-K filing submitted to the United States Securities and Exchange Commission, outlines that the company’s board of directors has declared cash dividends for each calendar day spanning from November 1 through November 30. Under the proposed schedule, these payments are set to begin rolling out to eligible shareholders on November 2. Furthermore, each individual daily dividend will become officially payable on the specific business day immediately following its designated record date, providing a continuous stream of cash flow distributions for holders of the preferred equity instrument.

Alongside the distribution schedule, Strategy confirmed that the annualized dividend rate for STRC will be maintained at 12% throughout the month of November. Company management has indicated that it intends to continuously recommend upholding this specific rate until the preferred stock demonstrates sustained and healthy trading patterns hovering closely around its $100 per share par value.

Financial analysts note that the introduction of daily dividend declarations could substantially enhance the market appeal of STRC among institutional and retail investors alike. By offering frequent, predictable distributions, the company aims to encourage price stability, helping the instrument trade consistently near its intended $100 par value. Maintaining this stability is vital for Strategy, given that STRC functions as one of the enterprise’s primary capital-raising vehicles to finance ongoing corporate acquisitions of Bitcoin.

Despite the forward-looking announcement regarding its preferred stock structure, STRC experienced a slight downward movement in market trading. The equity was down approximately 0.2% during Friday trading sessions, exchanging hands at $99.32.

The ongoing management of STRC and its associated dividend policy occurs against the backdrop of Strategy’s continued, aggressive expansion of its digital asset treasury. Last week, the corporate titan added another 250 Bitcoin to its massive balance sheet, deploying approximately $21.5 million in capital for the purchase. This latest acquisition elevates Strategy’s cumulative holdings to an unprecedented 848,250 Bitcoin, reinforcing its position as the undisputed leader among corporate digital asset holders.

However, the firm’s capital allocation strategy has recently showcased a balanced approach between acquiring new digital assets and actively managing its equity instruments. During the operational week ending October 4, Strategy executed substantial open-market maneuvers by repurchasing $176 million worth of its own STRC preferred stock. Notably, the capital deployed toward these stock buybacks outpaced its direct Bitcoin purchases during the same timeframe by a factor of more than six, eclipsing the $28 million spent on acquiring new BTC coins.

This dynamic capital management framework has evolved significantly over the course of the year. On June 29, Strategy officially unveiled a comprehensive capital framework designed to preserve its core exposure to Bitcoin while offering structural flexibility. A cornerstone of this framework permits the occasional tactical sale of portions of its extensive Bitcoin holdings to effectively fund corporate obligations, including preferred stock dividends. Concurrently, this strategic pivot saw the organization elevate STRC’s annualized dividend rate to its current benchmark of 12%, aligning corporate distributions with broader financial market conditions.

As corporate treasury strategies involving digital assets continue to mature, market participants closely monitor how firms like Strategy balance shareholder returns, preferred stock stability, and the aggressive accumulation of underlying cryptographic assets like Bitcoin. With the newly announced November daily dividend structure now awaiting final shareholder clearance and regulatory amendments, Strategy continues to chart a distinctive path in corporate finance.
